NEWS UPDATE
On Monday, Americans will take a break from their busy lives to remember the brave servicemen and women who have given their lives for their country.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Battle of Mogadishu, which claimed the life of Sgt. Casey Joyce, an Army Ranger, as well as the lives of 17 other Americans. While the story of the battle was the subject of the motion picture, "Black Hawk Down," it is sometimes simply a footnote in American military history.

TROPHY CLUB — For the first time this millennium, a Lewisville program is headed to the UIL Class 5A State Tournament.
The Lady Farmers softball team punched their ticket to Austin Saturday, defeating rival Marcus in Game 3 of their Region I Final, 4-0. The Marauders had taken Game 2 earlier in the day, 5-2, in a contest that began Friday but was suspended in the second inning because of weather.
