Radio show unveils RadioName concept
FROM STAFF REPORTS
The debut of the Innovation@Work! Radio program on News Talk 660 KSKY at 3 p.m. Sundays revealed a fascinating, new talk radio format, in which the host, Winston Edmondson of Lewisville, acts as the moderator of an on the air suggestion box.
The Innovation consultant turned radio broadcast personality also unveiled his RadioName concept. “I’m a big talk radio listener. I’ve heard people call in that sound extremely intelligent. When their viewpoints are similar to mine, I always find myself wishing I could get in touch with them,” recalled Edmondson. “On the Innovation@Work! show, we’re all about making connections. My RadioName concept allows that to happen safely and securely.”
Building on the excitement generated from the City of Lewisville’s June 10 proclamation in which the day was declared “Creative Ideas & Innovation Day” in honor of the show,
the same day, Edmondson says his goal is to have the most unique and innovative radio broadcast on the air.
“The RadioName concept allows any caller to register a unique radio name. Listeners
will be able to go to the Innovation@Work! Web site, http://www.projectinnovation.net,
and use that radio name to send a secure message to the caller,” Edmondson explained.
Using RadioName aliases allow individuals to decide who they want to accept messages
from.
Edmondson described some of the potential applications of his patent pending method.
“I’ve been contacted by a Human Resources executive that is interested in using
Innovation@Work! and RadioNames to make contact with possible candidates.
Individuals trying to organize a rally or political movement would find the service
convenient as well. I hope that the most widespread usage turns out to be individuals that
want to help someone they heard on the radio achieve their goals. That could be an
Angel Investor providing monetary support, or someone providing moral support.”
When asked if other radio shows would be permitted to use the RadioName concept,
Edmondson replied, “What’s the point of innovation if you’re not going to share it? It
would be great if they credited Innovation@Work!, but of course everybody can and
should use it.”
