Peggy Joyce Panaccione, 71, of Corpus Christi, TX, died at her daughter's home in Frisco, TX, after a short illness on February 15, 2008.

Peggy, born in Elberton, GA, grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, where she met her husband of 53 years, Michael Anthony Panaccione. In 1968 they moved to Corpus Christi. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother and co-owner, with her husband, of Mapco Construction Company.

She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Panaccione; three daughters, Linda Ann Panaccione of Frisco, Alicia Faith Boucher and husband, Don, of Corpus Christi, Paula Jean Burleson and husband, Bruce, of Victoria, TX; one son Michael A. Panaccione, Jr., of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Raymond S. Borders, Jr., of Wilmington, DE; Jacob I. Borders of Seaford, DE; and one sister, Medra R. Iaconi of Hockessin, DE. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Steven Plaugher II and wife, Amanda, Ryan Plaugher and his intended, Allison, Chariss Lee Burleson, Sgt. Sean Lee Burleson, Lance Cpl. Bruce Burleson II, Breanna Burleson, Brandon Boucher, Jeremy and Joshua Boucher; and one great-grandson, Joshua Lee Burleson.

Peggy was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred R. Buck.

The family wishes to thank the American Red Cross, and The Palliative Hospice Center of McKinney, TX, for their caring help.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A Rosary will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2008 followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 El Dorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas 75034.
