He is survived by his children, Kristine, DJ, Bianca, Logan Mears and Brittany Honeycutt; sister, Mary Rhodes; and brothers, Loren and Ed Mears.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Viola Mears.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2008 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home, 972-238-7111.
