BRUMBAUGH
Doreen “Randy” Joy Brumbaugh, who lived for 66 years and had a very fulfilling life, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, at her home in McKinney.
Mrs. Brumbaugh was born on Dec. 24, 1941, in San Diego, Calif., the daughter of Leo and Joyce Hampton. Doreen married Thomas Leo Brumbaugh on July 25, 1982, in Eddyville, Iowa. She worked many years for Civil Service and retired from FAC Maintenance in California. Doreen enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating. Her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren. She loved to watch them play soccer, football and water ski. They affectionately called her “Ma-Mom.” Doreen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Brumbaugh is survived by her loving children, Georgenia Joyce Behrends and husband, Rodney Dean of McKinney, Texas, Lisa Doreen Ferguson and husband, Bruce Wayne of McKinney, Texas, Brenda Brumbaugh and Tammy Brumbaugh, both of Iowa; grandchildren, Lynn Smith, Rodney Alexander Zimmerman, Hannah Michelle Behrends, Thomas Smith, Ryan Dean Behrends and Penny Brumbaugh; stepmother, Lucille Hampton; sister, Georgia Nancyann Scott; brother, Bobby Leo Hampton; all of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnessess, 2417 Taylor Burk Drive in McKinney. Elder Jeff Haywood will be officiating.
