DURRETT
David Durrell Durrett, 51, originally of McKinney, passed away May 26, 2008, in Plano, Texas.
He was born March 3, 1957, in McKinney, Texas, the son of Charlie Paul and Dorothy Oleta (Morris) Durrett. He served his country in the United States Army. He was the safety coordinator for the City of Garland Water Department. He was Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 750.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheri Grimes and her husband, Larry of Garland; son, Jordan Casey Durrett of Garland; brother, Ronald Paul Durrett; sisters, Pat Kanive, Donna Reed, Paula Hunnicutt and Cindy Duncan; 10 nieces and nephews; and 20 great-nieces and -nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Monica Park Christian Church, 2600 Broadway Blvd, Garland, Texas, with Rev. Fred Turner officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
