Softball: Flower Mound downs Carroll, 8-5

After pummeling Lewisville, 18-2, Saturday in a District 6-5A softball game, Flower Mound played a closer 6-5A affair Tuesday as the Lady Jaguars defeated Southlake Carroll, 8-5, at Bob Jones Park.
The win set up a Friday night showdown between Flower Mound (16-5, 3-0) and Marcus at Flower Mound.
Flower Mound’s Taylor Hoagland tripled in the win and the Lady Jaguars collected nine hits in support of starter and winner Ashley Rother.
