Baseball: Marcus’ losing skid hits four games

Marcus suffered its fourth-consecutive defeat Friday as the Marauders fell to Coppell, 7-2, Friday in a District 6-5A baseball game at Marcus.
Coppell’s Michael Apple topped Marcus’ Michael Gill for the win. Jonathan Walsh and Jacob Morris each hit home runs for Coppell.
The Marauders (11-7, 2-3) are slated to play at 1 p.m. today at Frisco’s Dr Pepper Ballpark against Dallas Bryan Adams. Marcus opens a two-game 6-5A series Tuesday with Flower Mound at Flower Mound. Friday, Flower Mound plays at Marcus.
