Frisco school budget approved

FISD board members approved their budget for the 2009-10 school year Monday night. The balanced budget allows for three percent pay raises and anticipates as little as a two-cent increase in the overall tax rate from $1.39 per $100 property evaluation.
The Maintenance and Operations portion of the budget for next school year was approved at $254,473,000. To service Interest and Sinking Fund obligations, the Frisco ISD board approved expenditures of just over $77,400,000.
