Volleyball: Marcus still looking for consistency
BY JUSTIN THOMAS, Staff writer
On Friday night, Marcus volleyball coach Christie Liles said the team did a much better job of limiting their mistakes.
Tuesday, the team took a step back, falling against Allen, 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 29-27.
Liles said the Lady Marauders had their chances to win each of the three games they lost.
Liles said the team came apart in particular in Game 3, where the teams were knotted, 15-15, before Marcus made errors on eight of Allen’s 10 points needed to win the game.
Top performers for Marcus were Mary Koehler, who had 30 digs, and Elizabeth Fortado, who had 10 kills and three blocks. Haley Neisler added 10 kills.
Marcus continues at 7 p.m. Friday at Plano.
