Volleyball: Marcus, Flower Mound pick up big wins

Marcus’ volleyball team notched its second straight win Friday to move into a three-way tie for second place in District 6-5A.
The Lady Marauders (4-3) outlasted Carroll, 25-22, 25-23, 25-27, 21-25, 16-14 and are tied with the Lady Dragons and Coppell. However, while Marcus is tied with Carroll, they hold the all-important tiebreaker with the Lady Dragons after completing the season sweep.
Flower Mound, meanwhile, also earned a big win Friday. The Lady Jaguars (3-4) swept Lewisville, 25-21, 25-20, 25-19, to remain one game behind Marcus, Coppell and Carroll. Hebron leads the district with a 6-1 mark.
