Cougars celebrate gift of play to Children’s Medical

By Andrew Snyder, Staff Writer
Valley Creek Elementary ended its “Power of Play” drive, which collected toy donations to benefit patients at Children’s Medical Center, with an assembly recognizing the students, teachers, parents, community leaders and businesses that made the drive possible. The final point tally for each grade was announced along with the class out of that grade that contributed the most. The winners were given a sizable trophy to house in their classroom for the remainder of the school year.
