Empty stomach means full backpacks for area students

Joel Miller is still hungry. Pastor of The Summit, a church in Allen, he went on a hunger strike last November to raise 30,000 non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army and McKinney Food Pantry, ultimately surpassing that goal with 36,000 total donations, and he’s devoting himself to a water-only diet once again. This time the goal is to raise 60,000 items of clothing and school supplies for North Dallas For Kids, an organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged children throughout Dallas.
