In a day where most employers are cutting back, one restaurant chain continues growing.
Seasons 52, a fresh grill and wine bar, will open Oct. 4 in The Shops at Legacy at 7300 Lone Star Drive, Suite C100. The restaurant, part of Darden Restaurants, will be joining the urban lifestyle center which houses more than 30 food and beverage outlets in addition to other shopping opportunities and will be providing 100 jobs for people in the area.
This is an opportune time for a new business to be opening in the shopping area since Legacy Books recently closed and Saks Fifth Avenue in The Shops at Willow Bend is closing Saturday.
The restaurant plans to continue the trend by offering the new job openings. In addition to the employment opportunities, the restaurant will offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental insurance on the first day, life insurance, stock options, educational assistance programs and even pet insurance.
“By offering such great benefits we are really trying to retain employees for a long time,” said Dave Culley, district manager for Seasons 52. “We are looking for people that want to engage and really be a part of our company.”
The restaurant is looking to become a permanent fixture in the high-end community and is looking for employees who will appreciate job security. Other characteristics the restaurant hiring staff is looking for are upbeat, professional and friendly team members.
“We don’t usually have a lot of turnover in our restaurants,” said Stephen Judge, Seasons 52 president. “We look for people with passion for service and who want to be here to take care of our guests.”
Restaurant management will begin hiring Monday, August 23 for the first Texas location at The Shops at Legacy. The in-person application process will begin at 8 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. and will continue through Sept. 3.
Culley and Seasons 52 management is looking specifically for people “who share their passion for fresh, creative meals and the commitment to food quality, service excellence and providing guests outstanding dining experiences.”
Positions the restaurant is looking for are servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, line cooks, prep cooks, utility workers, stewards and contract piano-vocalists.
Potential employees are encouraged to attend the open interview sessions where they will fill out an application and interview with management for culinary and service positions. For information, visit www.seasons52.com/careers/.
In addition to the seasonally inspired dining choices, the restaurant will serve an award-winning international wine list that features a diverse wine selection in a casually sophisticated environment.
“We use natural cooking techniques like wood-fire grilling and brick-oven cooking, resulting in meals that are naturally lower in calories,” said Kean Dahl, managing partner for the Plano location. “In fact, we make a promise that nothing on our menu is over 475 calories.”
The name “Seasons 52” refers to the fact that every week of the year the restaurant menu features fresh ingredients that are at their peak of ripeness.
Seasons 52 will be open daily for lunch and dinner and will join six locations in Florida: Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Ft. Lauderdale, Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton, Coral Gables and Tampa. The restaurant chain also has locations in Atlanta, Ga., Schaumburg, Ill., Cherry Hill, N.J., King of Prussia, Pa., Costa Mesa, Calif., Phoenix, Ariz.
