Mary Debra Mata
Mary Debra Mata, age 59 and a resident of The Colony, passed away April 18, 2011, in Dallas.
She was born February 8, 1952, in Dallas to John and Louise O'Brien.
She is survived by three daughters: Kim Smith and husband Rick, Robin Smith and husband Roy, and Theresa Barta and husband Jerry. She is also survived by five grandchildren; her father, John Samaras and wife, Lorene; siblings, Lynda Shiflet, Cindy Stephens and husband Jimmy, Kiri Martinets, Tracy Brown, Brandee O'Brien-Orr, Shannon O'Brien, Becky McGraw, Mike Stephens, Jolene Holt and Johnny Lee Davis.
Debbie was preceded in death by her mom, Louise O'Brien; grandson, Brandon Barta; brother-in-law, Scott Southall; and nephew, Kenny Glenn Stephens.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at the Calvary Christian Center in The Colony, Pastor Rick McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Little Elm Cemetery in Little Elm, Texas.
