Male arrested following bank robbery and chase

An Oklahoma City man attempted to rob a Carrollton bank yesterday but was quickly apprehended by police.
On Aug. 18 at 1:03 p.m. Amirmakan Ahmadpour, a 33 year-old male resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, robbed the Viewpoint Bank located at 1801 Keller Springs Rd, leaving with an undisclosed amount of currency.
Ahmadpour passed a note to a teller but no weapon was displayed. After being given a vehicle and suspect description Carrollton officers located Ahmadpour’s vehicle traveling north on Interstate 35E. Ahamadpour initially refused to stop for the officers, but after a short chase he pulled his vehicle over near Denton. Ahamadpour was taken into custody and the money was recovered from his vehicle.
