A Plano pastor was found dead in an Arkansas hotel room early Saturday morning with what police are saying is likely a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officers from the Hot Springs Police Department carried out a welfare check at a local Hampton Inn at 2:42 a.m., where they found Dr. Kim Hall, senior pastor at Plano's Hunters Glen Baptist Church. Hall had a gunshot wound to his head, and Hot Springs police said foul play was not suspected. The department said it received a call from the Plano Police Department requesting it check on Hall.

The church's website said Hall became a pastor at the church in November 1989 and served as a pastor for 25 years at churches in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Hall was married to his wife Martha and had two sons.

In addition to serving as the pastor at Hunters Glen, Hall also served as a chaplain with the Plano police and fire departments, the church website said.
