Police calls for January 9 - 16 compiled from information provided by the Police Department
Jan. 9
12:07 p.m. - Assist fire department in the 1200 block of Settlers Ridge Road. Elderly female fell and hit her face. Referred to another agency. Person was transported to hospital by Celina Fire Department. No signs of assault.
1:01 p.m. - Missing person reported in the 3600 block of Preston Hills Circle. Individual was kicked out of residence because of drinking issues. Reporting Person can't locate individual now. Missing person report filed.
Jan. 10
2:25 a.m. - Suicidal subject reported in the 3600 block of Heritage Trail. Reporting Person stated she believes her 47-year-old boyfriend committed suicide. Made contact with subject who stated that he wanted to harm himself. Subject volunteered to go to Green Oaks Dallas for evaluation. Unit transported and cleared.
8 a.m. - Animal complaint at 1300 Caruth Lane. Skunk under Reporting Person's grill. Referred to another agency. Advised RP that officer will send Animal Control.
9:52 a.m. - 911 hang-up reported in the 1500 block of Brook Lane. Owner misdialed. No offense occurred.
10:21 a.m. - Suspicious circumstances reported in the 2800 block of Arabian Lane. Woman entering house through window. Woman is homeowner and forgot her key. No offense occurred.
2:44 p.m. - Assault in the 500 block of East Malone Street. A student was assaulted by an unknown individual as she was walking to the intermediate school. RP had her backpack taken by an unknown suspect. Suspect fled on foot.
3:11 p.m. - Suspicious circumstances reported in the 2700 block of South Preston Road. Subject at location asleep in her car, then walking around outside with poor balance. Appears intoxicated. Spoke with subject. Appeared to be on heavy medication. Called husband who came and picked her up. Situation resolved.
7:19 p.m. - Suspicious circumstances in the 400 block of East Beech Street. Reporting Person states a couple was verbally fighting, extremely intoxicated in the front yard. They left in a white vehicle with severe body damage south on Texas east on Pecan to Preston unknown location at this time. RP is worried about them driving drunk. Advised RP to call back if they showed up again. Unable to locate.
8:42 p.m. - Suspicious person reported in the 500 block of South Utah Drive. Subject riding bike in school parking lot. Unable to locate.
9:03 p.m. - Abandoned vehicle at County Road 83 and Preston. Tan Chevy has been parked on side of County Road 83 since 2 p.m. per Reporting Person. 48-hour/10-day sticker applied. 48-hour removal sticker placed on window.
Jan. 11
12:25 a.m. - Suspicious circumstances in the 200 block of North Oklahoma Drive. Reporting Person said it sounds like someone is behind Carter Plumbing. Checked area, someone was trying to steal copper from a small trailer. Documentation only.
8:19 a.m. - Minor accident reported in the 800 block of West Frontier Parkway. Five-car minor accident. Accident report completed.
10 a.m. - Suspicious circumstances reported in the 700 block of East Pecan Street. Student with unknown student. Substance did not test positive for controlled substance. No offense occurred.
11:50 a.m. - Animal complaint in the 300 block of East Elm Street. Loose pit bull dog. Owner secured dog.
3 p.m. - Funeral escort and traffic control at Custer and Farm-to-Market Road 455.
3:49 p.m. - Suspicious vehicle reported in the 2600 block of Appaloosa Lane. Legally parked and no one present. No offense occurred.
5:56 p.m. - Juvenile problem reported in the 600 block of East Sunset Boulevard. Three kids on skateboards riding around area and messing with drivers and flipping people off. Did not locate juveniles. Spoke with employee and they did not know anything had been going on.
6:15 p.m. Juvenile problem in the 2700 block of South Preston Road. Three kids on skateboards riding around area and messing with drivers and flipping people off. Made contact with juveniles. Could not contact the Reporting Person. Problem has been resolved for the evening.
Jan. 12
8:30 a.m. - Animal complaint in the 200 block of North Illinois Drive. Loose dog. Attempt to locate owner.
1:11 p.m. - Peddler complaint at Pecan and Oklahoma. Subjects on corner of intersection asking for money for church. Spoke with subjects and gave them a copy of the ordinance that prohibits them from asking for money on roadways. Situation resolved.
9:57 p.m. - Parking violation in the 2800 block of Saddlebred Trail. Parked facing traffic. Parking violation card completed.
11:39 p.m. - Motorist assist at New Mexico and Beech. Vehicle stopped on street with flashers on. Inner fender was rubbing on tire. Helped driver locate the problem so that he was able to resolve the issue. Situation resolved.
11:57 p.m. - Suspicious vehicle reported in the 1200 block of Stanford Lane. Vehicle was observed leaving park and pool area. Occupants of vehicle were adults and had stopped to talk. No problems observed.
Jan. 13
5:17 a.m. - Suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of South Louisiana Drive. Vehicle came from behind the grain silos, driver appeared to be lost. Driver works for railroad and was looking for a specific st of equipment he was supposed to be running. Situation resolved.
10:39 a.m. - Meet complainant in the 500 block of East Pecan Street. Reporting Person had questions relating to a juvenile boy harassing her daughter at school. Advised her to call the police the next time anything happens and to start documenting all cases of harassment. Documentation only.
1:55 a.m. - Fraud in the 9200 block of Prairie Creek. Reporting Person wants to file a fraud report. Referred to another agency. RP is located in Collin County, not in Celina city limits. Officer advised her to contact the Collin County Sheriff's office and gave her number.
11 p.m. - Assist other agency at Preston and Frontier. Northbound Preston into Celina, camo van. Involved in hit-and-run in Frisco. No one following, right rear minor damage. Officer located vehicle in Celina. Passed information on to Frisco police department.
11:37 p.m. - Suspicious circumstances reported in the 400 block of Stefhanie Drive. Gray SUV parked in street with turn signal on. Parked in driveway, no one around, vehicle running. Spoke to drivers who stated they were warming them up. No offense occurred.
Jan. 14
1:11 a.m. - Juvenile problem in the 1200 block of Miller Lane. Stated there are several people going door to door ringing people's doorbells. Unknown where they are now. Reporting Person is on her porch looking for them. Unable to locate.
2:24 p.m. - Theft reported in the 300 block of East Maple Street. Reporting Person wants to report his vehicle stolen. RP's stepfather took vehicle at a party last night. Vehicle is not registered in RP's name. Officer advised him that the registered owner will have to report the vehicle stolen.
6 p.m. - Assault in the 300 block of West Beech Street. Reporting Person states her son was shot with a BB gun. Information report completed.
7:03 p.m. - Suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of East Malone Street. Reporting Person states that there is a purple car parked behind the school. Vehicle belongs to a fourth grade teacher. No offense occurred.
10:51 p.m. - Intoxicated person reported in the 600 block of East Sunset Boulevard. Officer noticed person riding a bike through Brookshire's parking lot. Before officer could make contact, person laid down and started throwing up. Person was transported to hospital by Celina EMS.
Jan. 15
10:32 a.m. - Unattended death reported in the 100 block of South Alabama Drive. White female not waking up. Death possibly caused by medical issues. No signs of foul play. Information report.Celina Interim Police Chief Paul Jones said the Collin County Medical Examiner was contacted. The Medical Examiner said the probable cause of death was due to health issues.
12:49 p.m. - Sexual offense reported in the 700 block of West Main Street. Sexual assault. Nurse from Presbyterian Plano called and stated that they had a female that came in to get a rape test done. Victim stated that it happened in Celina by her ex-boyfriend.
5 p.m. - Civil matter in the 300 block of Tolleson Drive. Reporting Person stated he fired his brother and his brother will not give the keys to the business back. Keys were returned to RP but he is still waiting for the phone. Documentation only.
7:34 p.m. - Suspicious vehicle in the 2800 block of Saddlebred Trail. Reporting Person advises his kids saw a van going very slow past them while they were outside playing. Saw it several times including yesterday and approximately one hour ago. RP advises it is van on the Crime Watch bulletin. Front end damage, minivan, gold in color. Unable to locate.
10:09 p.m. - Noise complaint in the 500 block of Tarpan Trail. Dog barking at house with SUV backed into driveway just before dead end and bridge. Animal ordinance warning notice left at front door. Unable to make contact with owners.
10:32 p.m. - Citizen assist in the 2800 block of Saddlebred Trail. Reporting Person has information about gold minivan that has been seen in Carter Ranch. RP states that he and his sons have been seeing a tan or gold minivan around Carter Ranch. Believes that driver is up to no good. Wishes extra patrols during days and early evenings. Documentation only.
Jan. 16
7:52 a.m. - Assist fire department at Preston and Carter Ranch. Small grass fire at entrance to Carter Ranch. Unable to locate any grass fire. Assisted fire department in searching the area.
9:46 a.m. - Found property at Property and Ash. Found mail, returned to owner. Situation resolved.
