By Bill Conrad, bconrad@acnpapers.com
PLANO -- The woman found dead in an east Plano creek earlier this month committed suicide, the Collin County Medical Examiner has ruled.
Denise Stoddard, 49, was found lying in a creek in a heavily wooded area along the Bob Woodruff Park Trail, just north of Plano Bible Chapel. Her body was discovered by a group of juveniles walking nearby.
Medical Examiner William Rohr's report was released Tuesday.
Stoddard lived with her husband and children in the 3200 block of Sharon Circle, near where her body was discovered. She was last seen alive by her husband on the morning of Jan. 6 and was reported missing by him the next day. He told CW 33 News shortly after her death that Denise was bipolar and not taking her medication, which he thought played a cause in her death.
Bupropion, which is sold under the name Wellbutrin among others, is an anti-depressant which can be used to treat people who suffer from bipolar disorder.
