Davis wins Highland Village mayoral race

Patrick Davis defeated Bill Irwin by 27 votes to become the next mayor of Highland Village on Saturday.
Davis secured 524 votes (51 percent) to Irwin’s 497 votes (49 percent) to win the race.
The two current councilmen were running for the mayor’s seat left open by Scott McDearmont, who decided not to run for re-election.
