Incident with gun reported at Lewisville mall

Lewisville police were called to the Vista Ridge Mall late Saturday afternoon after receiving calls about a gun sighting.
Police responded to the mall around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Capt. Kevin Deaver said a person called police saying they saw someone with a gun near the mall. Upon arrival, police located a couple teenage boys with an air soft gun. According to police, the boys were seen outside the mall with the air soft gun. Police were dispatched to ensure that it was not a real gun.
Police were involved with another incident at the mall approximately one hour later. According to police, two teenage boys were arrested for shoplifting. Police officials said there was no safety incident at Vista Ridge Mall Saturday.
According to a Star Newspapers representative, the shoplifters were led out by police carrying shields and shotguns.
