Due to his unique understanding of world financial markets, following the stock market crash of 2008 he was contracted by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to research external causes. In 2009 Freeman's research culminated in a report submitted to the DOD titled "Economic Warfare: Risks and Responses" which concluded that hostile foreign entities had the means, motive, and opportunity to hit a vulnerable U.S. stock market in ways we didn't think possible. In April 2011 his DOD report was made public, after which he appeared on multiple national and international television and radio media outlets.
Recognized internationally as one of the foremost experts in the field of economic warfare and financial terrorism, Freeman has authored a book that details his findings. Secret Weapon links the proof of financial terrorism together for the first time and reveals the dangers of future attacks plotted against our country.
Freeman currently serves as senior fellow for both the Center for Security Policy and the American Center for Democracy/Economic Warfare Institute.
