LeDay named to all-star squad

Though the Cougars didn't win a state championship this year, there's been no shortage of accolades for the storied program.
In addition to earning District 4-4A Defensive Player of the Year honors, The Colony's Zach LeDay has been named to the Texas High School Coaches Association's All-Star roster representing the North squad. His team will be coached by Tyler Helms of Idalou High School.
The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. July 30 at Bill Greehey Arena on the campus of St. Mary's University in San Antonio.
LeDay will be joined on the North squad most notably by Jett Raines of Coppell High School. The North roster, wearing black jerseys, also includes: Jarod Adams (Seminole); Josh Caldwell (Childress); Demarcus Holland (Naaman Forest); Jordan Mason (Ennis); Clarke Overlander (Argyle); Riley Payne (Idalou); Braxton Reeves (North Crowley); Zachary Tabor (Graford); Jordan Van De Kop (Lindale); and Chris Washburn (South Grand Prairie).
The South team, coached by Brett Carr of Tatum High School and wearing red jersey, includes: Terry Allen (Manuel); Mitchell Badillo (Cypress Falls); Garek Duenez (Austin-Tivoli); Jason Gentry (Hondo); Branford Jones (Elkins); Connor Lammert (Churchill); Shawn Prudhomme (Hardin Jefferson); Jordan Ronnel (Robert G. Cole); Clyde Santee (Yates); William Stinnett (LaVega); Taurean Waller-Prince (Earl Warren); and Stratton Williams (Rockport-Fulton).
The 68th All-Star Basketball Game, sponsored by Fuddruckers, will be held in conjunction with the THSCA Coaching School and Convention taking place between July 29 and Aug. 1 in San Antonio.
