Weldon Scott, age 80, of Farmersville, Texas passed away May 11, 2012.
He was born November 16, 1931 in McKinney, Texas to Jim T. Scott and Emma (Snider) Scott.
On February 22, 1952 he married Gladene Williams in McKinney, Texas.
Weldon graduated from McKinney High School.
He proudly served in the United States Marines and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He worked as a supervisor for the City of McKinney.
Weldon was a member of Lavon Church of Christ and a former member of Main Street Church of Christ in Allen, where he was an elder.
He is survived by wife, Gladene Scott of Farmersville, Texas; sons, Carey Scott and wife, Candy of Ranger, Texas, Chris Scott of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Scott, Amy Fielden, Jason Scott and Noel Scott; great-grandchild, Elle Fielden; brother, Eldon Scott of Lucas, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Emma Scott; son, Craig Scott; brothers, Malcolm, Michael, Clyde, Dan, George and two infant boys; sister, Dorothy.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Brother Foy Vinson officiating. Interment followed at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family received friends during a visitation on Monday evening at 7 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
