TRMC-Sunnyvale to serve as title sponsor of Berean BLAST! again

For the second year in a row, Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale is a title sponsor of Berean BLAST!, the annual Memorial Weekend fireworks extravaganza presented by Sunnyvale’s Berean Baptist Church.
Festivities to honor fallen soldiers and celebrate community will be from 6-10 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at Sunnyvale’s Town Center Park, 356 Tripp Road. The celebration will include Christian music by the group FourTwelve and a performance by The Dallas Praise Orchestra & Jazz Band; in addition, the celebration will include vendors, children’s activities and fireworks presented by Extreme Pyrotechnics.
New this year, Berean BLAST! will include a food and clothing drive to benefit Sharing Life Community Outreach in Mesquite. The agency provides a range of services to those in need, including food, clothing and household items; financial assistance for housing and utilities; literacy and computer training and programs to address addictions.
“The Sunnyvale-area community has embraced Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale since it opened in September 2009, and sponsoring the community’s Berean BLAST! event is a perfect way for the everyone who works at the hospital to give back to the community,” said Julie Martin, TRMC-Sunnyvale’s director of business development. “Everyone at TRMC- Sunnyvale wants Berean BLAST! to be as fun as possible.”
“Berean BLAST! has proven to be an annual tradition that’s united our community around honor and freedom,” said Ken Case, pastor and event coordinator at Berean Baptist. “Again, we say thank you to TRMC-Sunnyvale and Julie Martin for their faithful partnership.
“We are so grateful to all our area sponsors and vendors. Without their continued support, we would not be able to provide this quality annual event for our community; on behalf of our church family, thank you for the privilege to serve you in this way.”
Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale is a 70-bed hospital committed to offering the finest medical services to those in northeastern Dallas County, Rockwall County and the surrounding communities. The regional medical center offers well-trained physicians, nurses and other medical professionals, as well as a full array of state-of-the-art medical equipment and a growing list of medical services.
