Three From Coppell High School Earn Outstanding Soloist Awards
Coppell High School choir students, directors, and chaperones travelled to Austin for competition

Three Coppell High School choir students earned “Outstanding Soloist” awards at UIL State Solo and Ensemble contest on May 28. Jenna Hernandez, Aubrey Kennedy and Winona Martin were among a select group of 252 out of 24,000 soloists competing to earn this honor. These students were selected by judges as truly outstanding” students that they would like to have performing in their studios.
Also during the competition, eighteen Coppell soloists earned Division I Superior Gold medals. Another fifteen students earned silver medals for solo performances. In addition, three ensembles completed with one earning a Gold rating and two receiving Silver awards. To qualify for the competition, students earned superior ratings at competition earlier this year.
