Two female incoming seniors were carjacked Wednesday morning on Josey Lane on their way to open gym at Newman Smith High School in Carrollton.

The students, driving a black four-door Acura, were rear ended by two suspects driving a Jeep around 8:55 a.m. The victims pulled into the school parking lot to exchange information when the passenger of the Jeep held them at gun point demanding they exit the vehicle.

The victims fled to the nearby high school and called police. Early reports say the females were not harmed.

Jon Stovall, information management officer for the Carrollton Police Department, said officers are still gathering information on the case.

"The Acura had a temporary tag on it and we were finally able to get enough information to enter it as stolen," he said. "We are trying to find out who [the suspects] are. We entered the car as stolen [and] are in the process of getting witness statements; detectives will be assigned to the case."

Stovall said at this point the department does not have enough information about the suspects to make any arrests.

"I do not anticipate that there will be any immediate arrests unless the vehicle is located still occupied or physical evidence leads to an identification of the suspects," Stovall said. "The suspects are described as 2 black males. We will find the car and see if we can get additional information to see who these people are."
