Juanita Branch of McKinney, Texas passed away June 12, 2012 at the age of 96.
She was born November 6, 1915 in Collin County, Texas to Robert Lee and Martha Evelina (Watson) Self.On July 21, 1939, Juanita married Ollie Lee Branch in McKinney.
Juanita was a nurse for 34 years and worked until the age of 78.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, her family always came first. Juanita loved to travel, especially with her children. She was a very kind and loving lady and always had nice things to say about others.
She is survived by her daughter, Tressye Fort and husband Gene of McKinney; grandchildren, Gregg and Nicci Fort of Chicago, Illinois, Darren and Debra Fort of McKinney; and great-grandson, Parker Fort.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Lee Branch; parents, Robert and Martha Self; brothers, Lewis Self, R.L. Self, Orville Lee Self and Bob Self; sisters, Maurine Carter, Oline Carter, Thelma Wright and Dorothy Christian.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, June 15, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
