A new CiCi's Pizza restaurant, located at 15962 Eldorado Parkway, held its grand opening on Wednesday, providing customers with both food and entertainment options.
The opening wasn't just a business event, as CiCi's Pizza partnered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas to provide entertainment for area children and additional funding for the organization.
"Twenty percent of all sales [at the grand opening] will go to the Boys and Girls Club," said Troy Boane, director of corporate operations at CiCi's Pizza. "We really want to help out the local community -- especially families in the area."
In addition to pizza, CiCi's offers all-you-can-eat pasta, salad and desert for $4.99. The restaurant also offers Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m., which lowers the buffet price to $3.99.
"We're basically the best value anywhere," Boane said. "No one's going to be able to touch our prices. We offer pizza, but our fresh salad and pasta are great options as well. We just rolled out our new Italiano Garlic Pizza -- it's a thin-crust pizza with black olives, onions, tomatoes, seasoning and a garlic butter sauce."
The new restaurant features the restaurant chain's new prototype design, which has so far only been used in one other restaurant. The new design features glass tiles, a new color scheme, stacked stone around the front of the restaurant and other refined design features.
CiCi's Pizza's new Frisco location will add 30 staff jobs to the Frisco area, as well as new management positions. The location was added to reach the growing Frisco population, Boane said.
"Everything's moving north it seems," Boane said. "It's a great area and we thought it'd be a good complement to the restaurant we already have in Frisco on Preston Road."
Boane hopes the new restaurant will be well-received in Frisco, a town with a large youth population. The restaurant chain was recently named one of the top child-friendly restaurants by Parents' magazine.
"CiCi's is really a family-oriented restaurant, and we want to make sure parents love bringing their children here," he said. "We want parents to have an affordable option for a meal with their kids. We have a great, clean family atmosphere and no one can touch our prices -- as we promise our customers, we'll do whatever it takes to make them feel at home."
The new restaurant is open for dine-in and carryout orders Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; on Friday and Saturday the restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Menus and additional information about the restaurant chain can be found at www.cicispizza.com.
