A man died Wednesday afternoon in McKinney after police say his brother shot him in the neck with a revolver.
At 10:52 a.m., police received a call for an alleged accidental shooting that had occurred at Collin County Tire and Auto, at 1312 N. Tennessee St. near U.S. Highway 380 in McKinney.
Witnesses at the scene told police that brothers Ala and Mohammad Abudaabes were "playing" around with the gun inside the business when 20-year-old Ala was shot in his neck, said Deputy Chief Joe Ellenburg.
After further investigation, and questioning witnesses about the shooting, police arrested Mohammad, 21, for manslaughter, a second-degree felony. He is being held at the Collin County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
Ellenburg said the McKinney Police Department will continue its investigation of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
