Paul Jackson Allen Jr.
Paul Jackson Allen Jr., 86, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, in Fort Worth.
Paul was born April 21, 1926, in McKinney, to Paul Jackson Allen Sr. and Inez Dulaney Allen.

He was raised in Lewisville where he graduated from Lewisville High School.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.

Paul graduated with a master's of education from North Texas State University.

A longtime public school teacher and football coach, he also coached girls' basketball and boys' track. Paul worked as an administrator in Keller, Kennedale, and Dripping Springs. He retired as first principal at Lake Travis Elementary School.

Paul was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association and Hubbard Lions Club. He was inducted into the Keller ISD Hall of Fame in 2000. During his 12 years at Keller, he never had a losing season. Under his coaching, the Keller football team won eight district, three Bi-district and two regional championships.

In 1982, Paul and June moved to Hubbard where they owned an antique store and also restored five homes. They moved to Lewisville in 2008 and later to Fort Worth.

He was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Lee Allen; mother and father; three brothers; one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, June Golliher Allen; daughter, Paula K. Allen of Terlingua; grandson, Travis Jackson Mayo of Uvalde; sister, Doris Allen Crawford; brothers-in-law, Bill Golliher (Carol) of Haslet, Benny Golliher of El Paso, James Owens (Jackie) of Porter; sisters-in-law, Betty Whitson of Garland, Barbara Maddux of Conroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Dr. Will Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts may be made to Vitas Hospice or a charity of one's choice.
