RoughRiders best Arkansas
After dropping Game 1 of a three-game series to Arkansas Monday night, the Frisco RoughRiders took care of business in the final two games to earn the series victory.
Wednesday’s game saw hurler Cody Buckel go six scoreless innings to earn the win on the mound. Buckel surrendered just one hit and three walks during his outing to improve to 1-2 on the season.
The victory came a day after the RoughRiders earned a 5-1 win over Arkansas in similar fashion.
This time it was pitcher Barret Loux that did the damage for his Frisco-based team. Loux improved to 12-1 on the year after going seven strong innings that saw the righty surrender just one unearned run on two hits and two walks.
Loux also saw his ERA drop to 3.54 on the year to go along with his 12 victories.
Frisco will now begin a pair of three-game sets at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Up first for the RoughRiders is Springfield with Arkansas making the trip to Frisco soon after.
