| Bonnie Stroman Davis |
Bonnie Stroman Davis, of Katy, TX (formerly of Mesquite) died June 18, 2012 after a long struggle with lung disease.
She was born September 15, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas and lived in Mesquite for almost 40 years until her move to Katy in 1995.She worked at the First National Bank of Mesquite and its successors as well as banks in Houston where her specialty was bankowned real estate management.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Davis; three daughters and sons-in-law, John & Nelda Cronin of Chelmsford, Mass., Mitchell & Sandra Cutsinger and Matthew & Glenda Johnson of Katy, Texas; four grandchildren, John Cronin, Emily Cutsinger, Claire and Jennifer Johnson all of Katy, Texas; her brother and sister-in-law, James Hilton and Inez Stroman of Lone Star; and sister-in-law, Mary Stroman of Mt. Pleasant. She also leaves her very good friend, Mary Ruth Mandel of Mesquite.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Della Montgomery Stroman; and her brother Marcus Eugene, both of Mt. Pleasant.
A private funeral service was held June 22, 2012 at Schmidt Funeral Home.
Because of her generosity and compassion, the family suggests memorial gifts be directed to Katy Christian Ministries Food Pantry noting that the donation is in the memory of Bonnie Davis (5011 E. 5th St. Katy, TX 77493 www.ktcm.org) or your local food pantry.
