Jasmine Caston commits to Texas Tech

Two weeks after the Plano East girls basketball team booked its final commitment from the Class of 2012 (Tatiyana Smith, Arkansas Baptist), the Lady Panthers have secured their first commitment from the Class of 2013.
That would be senior guard Jasmine Caston, who verbally committed to Texas Tech on Monday.
Caston, a four-star recruit according to ESPN Hoop Gurlz, chose the Red Raiders over the likes of Texas, Ole Miss, Minnesota and Memphis.
Caston has been a staple at East for the past three years, seeing starter's minutes since she stepped on the court as a freshman. The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 11.8 points, 3.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game this past season for the Lady Panthers.
