LINENBERGER

Anna "Marjorie" Linenberger, 86, died July 12, 2012 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in LaJunta, Colorado.
She was born on March 20, 1926 at McCracken, the daughter of William and Margaret (McGaughey) Wierman.

Marjorie attended Fort Hays State University, receiving her teaching certificate. She taught at Hampton and Victory Schools in Rush and Ness counties.

On June 18, 1946, she married Leo V. Linenberger at McCracken. After their marriage, they lived in LaCrosse for a period and later Arizona and California. They moved to Dodge City in 1952. Mr. Linenberger preceded her in death on October 22, 1992.

Marjorie worked as a sales representative for Stanley Home Products Company for over forty five years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Altar Society, and was a Boy Scout volunteer.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Linenberger and wife Valerie, Aurora, Colorado; Patrick Linenberger and wife Jackie, Korea; two daughters, Patricia Zortman and husband Terry, Plano, Texas; Nancy Bryan and husband Larry, LaJunta, Colorado; three brothers, Francis and James Wierman, McCracken; Keith Wierman, Minneapolis, Kansas; one sister, Betty Greenway, McCracken, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two infant sons, son James L. Linenberger in 1968, three brothers, William Jr., Albert, and Eugene, and four sisters, Gertrude Brackney, Marie Pfannenstiel, Delores Chlumsky, and Mildred Kraisinger.

Vigil Service was held at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City, on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ted Stoecklein presiding. Burial followed at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation was at Swaim Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 1-4 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Marjorie Linenberger Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
