RAPER
Lavenia Belle Raper of Plano, Texas passed away July 23, 2012 at the age of 92.
She was born June 6, 1920 to J.W. and Georgia (Gettings) Cameron in McKinney, Texas.She published poetry and was a songwriter.
She is survived by her children, Jim Terry, Sr. and wife Lala of Plano, Texas, Kay Scalf and husband Don of Allen, Texas, Charles Raper of Plano, Texas; step-children, Nanci Williams of China Springs, Texas, Randy Raper of Waco, Texas, Nada Jones of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Jim Terry, Jr. of Allen, Texas, Dan Scalf of Allen, Texas, Susan Saddler of Orlando, Florida; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Lavenia was preceded in death by parents; husbands, Estel Ray Terry (1959) and Ralph Raper (1987); sisters, Margaret Lamon and Fannie Shockey.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
