Jackson Forbes transfers to JPII

After two years at Plano West, junior hoopster Jackson Forbes will have a new home for the 2012-13 season.
Forbes' mother, June Spencer, confirmed that the small forward has transferred to John Paul II.
The 6-foot-6, 200-pounder made the Wolves' varsity team as a freshman, increasing his minutes throughout the year and picking up a starting spot for much of his sophomore season.
Forbes was second team all-district in 2011-12, the youngest player to make first or second team.
Now Forbes, currently competing at a showcase tournament in Orlando, will move to a Cardinals' squad that has plenty to build off. John Paul made it to the TAPPS 5A State Tournament for the first time in 2010-11 and advanced to the TAPPS 5A State Finals this past season.
