GOP, Democratic runoff elections Tuesday

Voting in the Democratic and Republican primaries runoff election will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Most Collin County voters will be casting ballots in the same races, although some in different precincts will be voting on precinct chairman or in a state representative race.
Voters must cast ballots in their own precincts Tuesday. To find a voter location, go to www.co.collin.tx.us, click on county directory, then elections and county polling places.
Those voting in the Republican primary runoff election in Collin County will choose between David Dewhurst and Ted Cruz for United States senator; Christi Craddick and Warren Chisum for railroad commissioner; Greg Parker and Barry Smitherman for railroad commissioner (unexpired term); David Medina and John Devine for Supreme Court Justice, Place 4; Geraldine "Tincy" Miller and Gail Spurlock for State Board of Education, District 12; Ben Smith and Terri Green for 380th District Court judge; and Barnett Walker and Sharon Ramage for County Court-at-Law, Number Two judge.
In some precincts, voters will cast their ballots for either John Cole or Jeff Leach for District 67 state representative.
Voters in the Democratic primary may vote for Grady Yarbrough or Paul Sadler as their choice to run against either Dewhurst or Cruz for United States senator in the November general election. They will also be voting on precinct chairmen.
Early voting ends Friday. As of 7 p.m. Thursday, 14,688 people had voted early in Collin County in the Republican primary runoff, and 684 had voted in the Democratic primary runoff.
