The "ridiculously enjoyable from start to finish" production opened at the Palace Theatre in New York in 2007 and was nominated for seven Tony Awards and 10 Drama Desk Awards. Originally directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, the production is based on the movie, "Legally Blonde" which starred Reese Witherspoon. Scam alert: company soliciting money for scholarships

All Carroll high school students and parents are urged to be aware of a company using a Southlake, Texas PO Box that is pretending to offer students a chance to obtain a scholarship if they submit $5 along with their application. The company asks the student to "send $5 (cash only to help defray mail handling, document shredding and product costs) to our scholarship administration PO Box only."
