FRANKLIN
Vietnam veteran retired Captain Robert E. Franklin, 73, of San Angelo, formerly of Dawson, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 in Temple.
Services with full military honors were held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple.Mr. Franklin was born April 10, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Thomas and Audrey Lee (Atkins) Franklin.
Survivors include a brother, Bill Franklin of Redding, CA; a sister, Sue Ward of Temple; and a son, Joel Thomas Franklin of Coppell.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Oak Park United Methodist Church, 5505 South 31st Street. Temple, Texas 76502.
