Police calls for July 23 - 29 compiled from information provided by the Police Department.

July 23

1:37 a.m. – Community policing in the 1200 block of Stone Lane. Open garage door, crime card completed.

3:24 a.m. -Motorist assist at Main and Ohio. Flat tire on vehicle. Driver was able to get vehicle back to his residence.

1:47 p.m. - Suspicious person in the 4000 block of North Preston Lakes Circle. Individual was collecting rats for study. No offense occurred.

1:53 p.m. - Suspicious circumstances in the 500 block of Paddock Lane. Reporting Person said that the front door to house is open. No one at residence, front door secured.

5:29 p.m. - Suspicious vehicle at Farm-to-Market Road 428 and County Road 1086. Suspicious vehicle parked with hazard lights on. Vehicle waiting on another vehicle.

8:51 p.m. - Motorist assist at Preston and Ash. Driver pulled over to make a phone call.

10:46 p.m. - Juvenile problem at Walnut and Louisiana. Reporting Person states that there is a group of juveniles video taping each other fighting. Officer watched park until park closed at 11 p.m. No offense occurred.


July 24

4:37 a.m. - Suspicious circumstances in the 500 block of Connemara Court. 82-year-old female has locked herself in the bathroom and will not come out. Subject has dementia, has been locked in bathroom all night. Referred to another agency. Fire department transported female to hospital.

6:52 p.m. - Disturbance in the 300 block of Tarpan Trail. Individual yelled at Reporting Person to slow down. Officers talked to both parties involved. RP advised to slow down if he is speeding. Resident advised to call 911 if RP is speeding.

8:47 p.m. - Suspicious vehicle at Dallas Parkway and County Road 51. Officer spoke to driver coming out of Light Farms. Driver had permission to be at location.

10 p.m. - Animal complaint in the 1300 block of Caruth. Barking dog. Officer spoke to owner. He said he will keep a better eye on the dogs.

July 25

6:38 a.m. - Traffic hazard at Pecan and Arizona. Water main break. Notified public works who arrived to take care of the problem.

5:57 p.m. - Minor accident in the 700 block of North Preston Road involving Celina fire department. Assisted with minor accident.

8:08 p.m. - Driving while intoxicated in the 200 block of North Arizona Drive. Report that subject at that location was intoxicated and was possibly about to leave. Subject was advised that officer would be watching in case he attempts to drive.

8:21 p.m. - Domestic disturbance in the 800 block of West Walnut Street. Subject is trying to hit Reporting Person and his mother. White male wearing a white tank top, has multi tattoos. Officer spoke to RP about situation. RP advises his mother is taking subject back to Dallas, but is concerned that the subject may hurt his mother. RP stated that subject has been drinking and is very verbally abusive to him and his mother. Officer is patrolling Farm-to-Market Road 428 to Dallas Parkway to try and make contact. No report taken. No offense occurred.

8:24 p.m. - Backup officer in the 800 block of West Walnut Street. Attempt to locate suspect in verbal disturbance who was possibly intoxicated and left westbound on Walnut in a vehicle. Did not locate vehicle, checked Farm-to-Market Road 455 to Denton County and Dallas Parkway to Prosper.

9:58 p.m. - Civil matter in the 300 block of West Maple Street. Civil matter with rent. Reporting Person wanted to remain at residence, but home owner advised he has not paid rent and is not welcome. RP advised he will just leave. No report taken.

11:35 p.m. - Suspicious circumstances at Preston and Carter Ranch. Tractor with flashers on in construction zone. No one around, open cab tractor. Lights were turned off, situation resolved.

July 26

7:43 a.m. - Abandoned vehicle in the 900 block of North Preston Road. Abandoned vehicle on shoulder. Abandoned vehicle sticker applied.

6:46 p.m. – Harassment in the 3000 block of Cedar Trail. Reporting Person states that negative posts on Twitter about their daughter are harassing. Follow-up required. RP felt tweets of an unknown person were harassment. Officer advised RP that PD would go through channels to report the account to Twitter, but currently there was no criminal offense occurring. RP will follow up if more posts surface.

9:12 p.m. – Welfare check in the 200 block of North Colorado Drive. Reporting Person has a brother whose wife left him for another man. RP would like welfare check and call back. Officer made contact, subject appeared to be O.K. And was watching TV. Left voice mail for RP.

July 27

1 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances at Ash and Utah. Door open on vehicle. Resident was moving items into vehicle because they are moving.

11:18 a.m. – Criminal mischief in the 400 block of Paddock Lane. Reporting Person states that someone keyed his truck. RP knows who may have done it, but only wants them to pay for it. Will press charges as a last resort. Information report.

2:11 p.m. – Traffic hazard in the 2800 block of North Preston Road. Wood in roadway. Removed wood.

2:28 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances in the 300 block of Carter Ranch Road. Kids trying to catch ducks with a net. Unable to locate.

3:37 p.m. – Suspicious person in the 2600 block of Old Stables Drive. Two black males going door to door. Unable to locate.

5:07 p.m. - Reckless driver at Preston and Frontier. Two subjects possibly smoking dope while driving. Unable to locate.

5:20 p.m. - Missing person at Alabama and Cedar. Missing 7-year-old last seen on small red four-wheeler. Child has been located.

8:47 p.m. - Back-up officer on disturbance in the 200 block of North Texas Drive. Reporting Person stated that her son was on a lawn mower and some guys pulled up and hit her son. Officers spoke to RP and victim. Information report completed.

11:31 p.m. - Assist other agency at Farm-to-Market Road 2478 and Frontier. Minor crash, car vs. cow. Located crash, assisted with traffic control.

July 28

12:08 a.m. Assist other agency with public service at Farm-to-Market Road 2478 and County Road 1461. Gave ride home to Frisco fireman's wife after accident.

9:04 p.m. – Backup officer in the 400 block of North Preston Road. Traffic stop with warrant arrest. Backup only.

July 29

1:45 a.m. – Suspicious person in the 200 block of East Pecan Street. Two white males messing with coke machine beside closed business. Officer located tobacco on 13-year-old. Information report completed.

2:39 a.m. – Missing person in the 100 block of South Alabama Drive. Reporting Person flagged down officer and stated he cannot find his 16-year-old daughter. While talking with RP daughter called and stated she was back home.

1:35 p.m. – Burglary of building or residence in the 700 block of West Elm Street. Reporting Person walked into police department and stated that his house had been broken into last night. RP's back door was kicked in, no items were taken. Offense report filed.

3:19 p.m. – Minor accident at Oklahoma and Ash. Reporting Person states there is a green truck that rolled into fence but there is no driver. Unable to locate.

6:31 p.m. - Father brought son to Celina police department with narcotics. Information report filed, narcotics placed in police department evidence locker.

8:44 p.m. - Assist other agency in the 5100 block of Summerview Lane. Assist county looking for missing 72-year-old woman. Located missing person, transported back to address. Waited for fire department to check her out.
