Stonebriar Centre Launches DonorsChose.org Project; Area Teachers Invited to Participate

Public schools located in Frisco, McKinney, Plano and The Colony are invited to participate in Stonebriar Centre’s DonorsChoose.org project, which is designed to shine the spotlight on the importance of a quality education and assist local area schools and teachers with much needed supplies and funding.
Through a series of matching donation offers and DonorsChoose.org gift card giveaways, the shopping center hopes to fund at least 10 local classroom projects that are posted to the website. The project begins Tuesday, September 4 and ends Wednesday, October 31, 2012. In further support of area schools, Stonebriar Centre is hosting Celebrate Schools! on Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14. Celebrate Schools! is a weekend pep rally and fund-raising opportunity for area schools to set up presentations at the shopping center to help raise funds and awareness as well as celebrate the school/community partnership. Art displays, student performances, book sales and other fund-raising activities are just a few of the ways that schools might participate in Stonebriar Centre’s Celebrate Schools!
