Katherine "Katie" Cannell, age 84, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at her home.
She was born May 3, 1928 in Bad Axe, Michigan to George Duncan Hodgson and Minnie Schmidt Hodgson.Katie married George R. Cannell who preceded her in death on December 3, 2002.
Katie is survived by her children; Vickie Corey, Larry Brown and Karen Grant and step-children, Steve, Paul and Patricia Cannell. She was blessed by the birth of eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Doris Hayes.
Katie was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Reist and son Dean Cannell.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Funeral services will then be held in Lansing, Michigan and Katie will be interred with her husband in Deepdale Memorial Park in Lansing, Michigan.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Heart Association.
