Winners in 3rd Annual Ruby Allmond Songwriting Contest

Published: Monday, August 13, 2012 3:01 PM CDT
The judges in the 3rd annual Ruby Allmond Songwriting Contest took some time to decide, but the winners came through with stunning performances. Mark Stempler, a fellow with quite a bit of songwriting experience, carried home third place and $100.00 in cash for his song, "Texas Women". A 15yr. old home-schooled lady, Micaela Howeth from Richardson, TX, earned  2nd place and $200.00 in cash with a beautiful song with a new idea, "Texas Kerosene". And the winner was Gary Hamilton who received $300., some studio time, and First Place for his song "Where It's Raining". There was some additional music and video from the Ruby Allmond Music Collection as the judges made their decisions. The Contests keep improving and this might have been our best one yet.
