After adding another blowout win to its ledger Wednesday with a 20-4 victory against visiting Frisco Heritage, the McKinney North tennis team suffered its first loss of the season by splitting a Friday road meet against Rockwall, who they beat 11-8, and Texas High, who they lost to by the same margin.
Following those results, the Bulldogs moved to 5-1 on the season. They will now take a short break from the court after their torrid start to the season and wait until Friday, Aug. 31 to get back in action by hosting Birdville for a 4 p.m. match.
McKinney Boyd opened its season Friday with an appearance at the Plano West/Highland Park Invitational, where they lost to The Woodlands, 11-7, and beat Duncanville, 11-8. Boyd will continue tournament play Saturday.
