Yarbrough up to Double-A

It hasn't taken Allen alum Alex Yarbrough long to move up the minor league baseball ranks.
Selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the fourth round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, Yarbrough was promoted Friday from the Cedar Rapids Kernels to the Double-A Arkansas Travelers of the Texas League.
In 58 games with the Kernels, Yarbrough hit .287 with 12 doubles, nine triples and 27 RBIs. The infielder had also stolen nine bases on 11 attempts.
