Another Frisco resident has tested positive for West Nile, the city announced today, marking the eighth case confirmed in the city. The case was confirmed by Collin County health authorities.
Because of the new case, Frisco will spray the general where the resident lives beginning at 10 p.m. Sept 9. Frisco's West Nile virus response plan calls for ground spraying to take place in the general area surrounding a resident's home after he or she tests positive for the virus.
Ground spraying will take place in an area bordered by Main Street, Starboard Street, Rolater Road and Maiden Lane from Sunday night until Monday morning. Spraying is expected to last until 6 a.m. Sept. 10. A map of this area can be seen here.
