BLANTON
R. Richard Blanton, age 65, passed away on Sept. 19, 2012 at his home in Dallas, TX.
Born Jan. 5, 1947 in Knoxville, TN to Clinton and Hilda (Gerber) Blanton.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard Robert Blanton of Alvin, TX; granddaughters, Phoenix and Story Blanton; brother, Pat Cross of Ft. Smith, AR and long time companion and dance partner, Judy Heinrich of Dallas, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents. Richard grew up in Galveston, TX and especially loved his truck, Chevys and dancing.
Richard will be deeply missed by his family and many dance friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wed. Sept. 26, 2012 at 11:30 am at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, Texas.
Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
