Ricky Dale Bransom, 57, of McKinney, Texas, died Friday, September 14, 2012.
Ricky was born on January 18, 1955 in Lake Worth, Texas to Joyce and Bill Bransom.He served his country in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1977. During his tour of duty, he served on the USS Kitty Hawk.
One of his favorite things about driving a truck was enjoying the open road.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Grace Crosson; his daughter, Alicia Crites, two step-daughters, Tammy Wester and Tracy Hayes; 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Kiayra, Diamond, Dream, Colin, Noah, and Alyssa; 5 siblings, Terri Bransom, Jerry Bransom, Jack Lewis, Kim Lewis, and Debbie Jackson as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Sue Record Bransom, and Bill Bransom and his nephew, Brian Bransom.
The family received friends at a visitation which took place on Sunday, September 16, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 601 S Tennessee Street in McKinney, 75069.
A funeral service to celebrate Ricky’s life took place on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
Burial was at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney.
