LEONARD
Stephen J. Leonard, age 66 of Lewisville, Texas, formerly of Weymouth, Massachusetts passed away August 28, 2012 after a brief illness, surrounded by friends and loved ones.
Born in Hingham, Massachusetts, son of the late Arthur and Katherine Leonard, Steve was raised in Weymouth.He was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and a veteran of the US Navy where he served in both Puerto Rico and Washington DC.
Steve had many interests including a love of maritime history, genealogy, music, golf and photography. He was a devoted friend to many and a life long Red Sox fan.
Steve is survived by two daughters, Laurie and her husband Ross Sigmund of Boston, Massachusetts and Katherine and her husband Brian Durant of Alexandria, Virginia. He was the devoted grandfather of five grandchildren Colleen Durant, Daniel Sigmund, Scott Sigmund, Fiona Durant and Kiera Durant. He is also survived by two sisters Susan Leonard of Clearwater, FL and Sandra Hayes and her husband David Hayes of Little Rock AK.
Private burial will be at the High Street Cemetery in Hingham, Massachusetts.

" Steve was a beloved friend for over 40 years. He loved his golfing trips with buddies and his tracing of ancestors, among other things, he religiously completed the NYT crossword puzzle every Sunday in PEN! I am so sad that he is no longer with us, I will miss him terribly, but try to remember his contagious laugh and his loyal friendship. RIP Stevie "
